we're getting higher everytime , that we love, alittle closer to the things we fall back on if you'd come over then together willing , ----------------------------we'd take over the world Sydney had woken up at an ungodly hour to get Austin's breakfeast ready when he woke up, because god knows he was a screamer just like his mother. Infact, that kid could wail even harder and louder than Sydney could right now. And she really didn't wanna hear that shit at, what? Sydney looked at the clock and duly noted the time. 9:34 in the morning. Okay, so, maybe it wasn't an ungodly hour but she was infamous for sleeping in until three in the afternoon sometimes, more so before she had given birth to Austin. Of course, she wasn't tired by eight p.m back then, thanks to Austin. Even though he was two years old that kid was a rocket full of energy and could pretty much get his hands onto anything so Sydney had to keep a close eye on him most of the time. It was time consuming but she cared about her baby boy more than anything else in the world, which was saying something. When she found out she was pregnant she hadn't been too thrilled, expecting a shit ton of pain when that day came, but to her surprise as her naturally tiny belly had gotten larger, she found herself getting more excited for the day when she could hold him. Now a days, she couldn't wait until he tuckered himself out long enough for her to get atleast 30 minutes of sleep. There had been an increase for eye cover up to hide the dark, bruise like circles under her eyes. Hell, it was worth it.
Setting out the fresh pancakes, which smelt delicious if she did say so herself, and she did, she poured a cup of milk for Austin who seemed to refuse to give the substance up. Sydney couldn't tell if that was a good thing or if her son was addicted to milk. She figured it must've been a good thing. She never drank much milk as a child and maybe that affected the short stature she had today. Walking up to his room, she saw Austin sleeping away as if there was no today, tomorrow, or no day ever again. She was jealous of the little kid, getting served on hand and feet and getting to sleep whenever he pretty much wanted. Ah, well, that was being a kid for you. " Austinnn," the Brunette cooed quietly, reaching down and gently tapping the sleeping toddler on his shoulder. " Wake up, i made pancakes and everything." That simple sentence woke the boy up who beemed up at his young mother. " Pancakes?" He asked, as if to make sure he heard right. Sydney smiled and nodded, picking him up and kissing him on the forehead. " Let's go eat."
When Sydney had made it back down the stairs, Austin put his finger on his chin, deep in though. " Changed mind! I want Mcdonawlds," He chippered. Sydney pouted at her son. Hell, her pancakes probably tasted like shit, anyway. She had never had to make food for herself before. "..Fine. You win, we'll go get some McDonalds. But you're not getting french fries, okay? It's 10:00 in the morning."
The drive there had been loud, both of them chattering at an immature level, starting from, i'm gonna get a milkshake! Which turned into a nuh uh, yuh huh fisaco. But when they reached the McDonalds he seemed to have made up his mind and had ordered a thing of hash browns and a McGriddle. Sydney hadn't gotten anything because she had never been the one to eat fast food. Now, seated at a table inside the resturant, Sydney was completely unaware of a lingering shadow in her past, only a couple of feet away.

(TRAVIS NOAH MICHAELS) ----------------------- Travis felt weird waking up in Colorado because it was so far away from home. He spent most of his nights in hotel rooms anyway but actually thinking how far away he was made him a little homesick. Mostly he missed his Ma’s country cooking; that woman grew everything she made and had a recipe for everything. Not to mention, her food was amazing. However, he didn’t miss his father nagging him and telling him to quit his pipedream of becoming a rockstar and learn the family farm business. Pa needed his son to learn the business part of it all since Travy already put in several years of hard labor on the tractor and hauling hay. That wasn’t Travis’ dream and he wasn’t going to give in just yet. Sure, he’d help his dad with this year’s harvest but he knew if he stayed home for more than two weeks at a time, it would be difficult to leave again.
Travis loved his family probably more than anything in the world, for the most part they had been supportive with nearly every decision he made. Thankfully, they didn’t point out his poor decisions too often. His mother was a homely woman and wanted some grandbabies even if her kids were twenty and twenty four respectively. Although she was only forty three herself, she had already become far too comfortable with the idea of becoming a grandma someday and that idea was unsettling. When Austin came along, she was excited but even then she only saw the boy a handful of times before Travis found out the truth. When Sydney dropped that bomb on him, he was absolutely crushed as were the rest of the Michaels’ family. Travis had quickly learned to love the boy so walking out was probably the hardest thing he ever did. Not a day went by that he didn’t think about the two of them and how much better off they would be without him. They probably replaced him anyway and Austin would be calling someone else “daddy.” His absence from being on tour and his meager salary as a musician was certainly not enough to support them. Hopefully, they were in a better situation.
Usually Travis slept in until three or four in the afternoon but his massive hangover from the night before wouldn’t let him sleep any longer. Pushing himself off of the lumpy hotel mattress, he took a shower and got dressed before he dragged his feet across the parking lot to where the fast food franchise was located. It seemed to be fairly busy this particular morning and Travis was not enthused to have to wait nearly a half hour until he got his coffee. If he was going to wait that long in line, he might as well cross the street to the gas station. Unfortunately, Travis was just that lazy and so he stayed put, complaining every now and again about waiting so long. It really didn’t make any sense why a popular restaurant would be understaffed at this hour. Eventually, he got his coffee and made his way to a corner booth were today’s paper was lying from the previous customer. Being still half asleep, he rubbed his face trying to make sense of the headline before giving up completely and looking around at the other early birds. Being up this early was pointless because he was too tired to even do anything. As he glanced around, he was convinced he saw Sydney and Austin sitting only a table away but he didn’t trust his sleepy eyes.
He certainly wasn’t going to make himself look like an idiot by asking either. It would be a big mistake if he got their identities wrong but even if it was them, why would they want to see him? He’d made their lives terrible and he wasn’t much of a good role model. A better question would be why were they all the way out here? It was probably a mere coincidence although Travy couldn’t be too sure about the whole thing. It sat on his conscious for about ten minutes before he ruffled his hair and got up. I’m sorry, you look incredibly familiar. It wasn’t much of an introduction but he was trying to keep some masculinity.

we're getting higher everytime , that we love, alittle closer to the things we fall back on if you'd come over then together willing , ----------------------------we'd take over the world " bite? Mommy can have a bite," Austin said, lifting up his hashbrown up to her face.
Normally Austin never shared his food and if you went near it, the boy threw the biggest fit of the century, a pout long enough he could trip over it to match. It wasn't like many people tried to steal his food, anyways. Sydney was well beyond the age of stealing food from someone's plate, let alone her own son. He never offered her food, anyway, proclaiming that she had her own food. So this was sort of a miracle or something, and she wasn't too sure why he was suddenly offering. Usually he tried being too nice when she looked tense, but she didn't. Did she? There wasn't any reason that she would be tense. But flashing him a warm, friendly smile that she now only cast to him, she took the McGriddle from his tiny hands. " Why thank you," Syd said. The brunette took a bite, chewing slowly. God, she hated greasy foods because it really did go straight to her thighs, but hey. Her ass was nice anyways. Beides, it..did taste kind of good, she decided after she had swallowed it and there was a sweet after taste. She had been like this with Travis, too.
When she looked at Austin, she couldn't help but think of the boy she lied to. She felt worse about the lie everyday and everytime Austin asked about his dad. Everytime, Sydney had given him the same answer. That she had done a really bad thing and he needed to leave. He usually never pressed farther than that because, even though he was young, he could understand quite a few things some people his age couldn't. Sydney figured once he was old enough to fully understand she would tell him, but for now, she was still trying to figure out a way to tell Travis that he was indeed his son. Maybe she would call him, explain how things were going and then suddenly drop it on him, like she had the big lie, and let it all sink in for him. That so far seemed to be the only answer for her little situation. Of course there was always the chance he'd react badly, call her a whore, but hey, she'd been doing good so far even though she was struggling.
I'm sorry, you look incredibly familiar.
Sydney frowned, looking up at the voice she knew all too well. " Travis," she murmured, looking down at Austin, who suddenly looked alot like his father. " Um..how are you doing? You look..great," She added. It was true, too. The boy looked good. " Austin..say hi," Sydney whispered to her son, nervous.
Hiii, the toddler said, looking up at his father.

(TRAVIS NOAH MICHAELS) ----------------------- Travis was very surprised that this girl who looked just like Sydney actually knew his name. It caught him off guard and it took him a moment to recover from that surprise that was plastered all over his face. He half expected her to be some random stranger and a slight case of mistaken identity. If that had been the case, he would have apologized once more and offered to buy her lunch for disturbing her pleasant breakfast with her son. However, that couldn’t be farther from the truth and the fact that she knew his name could only mean one thing… this was Sydney and her son Austin. Why they were here he couldn’t say nor ask as it would have been rude. Although he was a bit excited to see her, all of those feelings of betrayal came to the surface and pulled his lips down to a slight pout. It had been quite a few years but seeing her face ripped open those scars again. It didn’t make sense, time should have healed all of that but seeing her now just made him take ten steps backwards and he couldn’t even explain why.
Thanks, you look gorgeous yourself. It wasn’t until she said Austin’s name that he remembered and looked at the boy. Nearly two years of growth was pretty clear by the way he looked. Talking and walking were probably the basis of his learning now not to mention potty training. Travis studied him for a second trying to find similarities between them. Their hair color was the same but Travis couldn’t make out anything else. For all he knew, he could be his best friend’s baby, so it was probably best that he still not get attached to either of them. Was it still bad that he suddenly got butterflies and a small sense of nervousness as he returned Austin’s greeting and then looked back to her. If he still felt betrayed, then why did he still like her? Was it weird he hadn’t had any girlfriends since their breakup? Did that even make sense? I’m okay. We were touring and our bus broke down so we’re stranded for a while. Travis shrugged and smirked s lightly. Can I join you?
It might do them some good to just catch up casually and that would open the conversation for more serious topics. Why’d she do such a horrible thing and did he really deserve all of that? Though they might be even between the pain he caused her by leaving and the pain she caused him by cheating. What brings you guys all the way out here? Travis questioned, tilting his head curiously. And how’s life been? Obviously it was hard if she was still a single mother. But he doubted that she was because she was a very likable person once you get to know her of course. Perhaps this wasn’t the end of their future communication. Was it possible for them to be friends again? He hoped so because he believed that if given a second chance, he could patch things up the way they should be… even if Austin wasn’t his kid, he was sure something could be worked out now that he was more mature.
